In general, Cancer cells have more genetic changes, such as mutations in DNA, than normal cells. Some of these changes may have nothing to do with cancer, they may be the result of cancer, rather than it’s cause.
Complete removal of cancer without damage to the rest of the body is the ideal goal of the treatment and is often the goal in practice. Sometimes this can be accomplished by the strategies like surgery, but the propensity of cancer to invade to the adjacent and the normal cells to the distant sites, but microscopic treatment often limits this.
